Venkatesh Prasad

Venkatesh has over 14 years of experience in corporate and non corporate sectors. He started his career in marketing wing of communication sector during 1997. Though he joined as a novice, because of his sharp observation skills, adaptability to suit customer needs and fervour, he was quickly promoted as manager for the marketing wing where he started and soon he was taking care of the district as district in charge.

During 1999, he became interested to work in development sector  and made the switch. He has over 11 years experience in the development sector at present and has put himself in diverse roles over the years to gain understanding of its many facets.

He is well versed in many areas of grassroots and non grassroots work starting from organising community members to conceptualising, designing, delivering as well as monitoring projects.

Some of the guiding principles he believes in are  collaboration between different actors and institutions for effective change, sustainable interventions based on participatory ownership based models and applying behavioural science principles for building productive relationships. 

After 11 years of working with diverse people and institutions, there was a strong need to explore organisational change and the factors which influence it. This need arose based on his experience of seeing the need for organisations to change and the difficulties that organisations face to do so. He has put himself passionately into this area of exploration and has equipped himself with necessary skills. 

As a OD consultant, he has worked with organisations supporting their needs in the areas of employee engagement, building capacities as change facilitators, assessments, team building, leadership enhancement,   strategic planning and action planning.

Venkatesh is also associated with different organisations in different roles. Currently, Venkatesh is associated with Organisations and Alternatives Consulting firm which works mainly on OD.
